Freak Accident Leads To Improved Internet Usage

A tragic event in the life of a Singaporean started a chain reaction that led to large improvements in Internet practices, especially for those that are disabled.

“PULAU BATAM, Indonesia – July 25, 2009” – As Peter Sidwell left his Singapore home on 22nd April 2002 to visit a friend, he had no idea that he wouldn’t be seeing it again for another seven weeks. By that time, he had become unemployed, unemployable and in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. It had taken less than one second to slip on a wet floor and break a hip and seven weeks for the hospital to botch the operation. His new employment status drove him to look to the Internet for something that could provide him with an income from a wheelchair. The program was backed by a very compelling mathematical proof that seemed to be unassailable but failed to perform as described by the promoter.  The failure made him realise that he had been cheated but how?
